Right after graduating from high school in 2002 I never realized that my summer job at Strosnider’s Hardware Store in Bethesda would be the beginning of my career. I learned the blueprint of Electricity by working in the Electrical Department learning about different types of lightbulbs, dimmers, switches, and more. After working at Strosnider’s for five years I became the Electrical Manager at Tenleytown Hardware in NW DC. I enjoyed my work, but I got to the point where I was yearning for something more challenging.

I decided to apply to Local 26 to become a Union Electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After several vigorous placement tests, a minimum of 900 in the classroom hours and a minimum of 8,000 on the job training I received my Journeyman’s license. Throughout my apprenticeship I worked on many great projects. Some of my favorites were The Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium, Air Force One’s Hanger at Andrew’s Air Force Base, and the FBI building in DC.

At the end of 2013 my first child, Santi was born. I wanted to make sure my family was going to be ready for the new addition so I decided to take a chance and open up my own company. This was a risky but rewarding move and I never looked back since. Since opening up my company, I have numerous technicians who all bring skills to make this company one of the most elite and trustworthy in the DMV area. DR Handy Services was named one of the top Handyman companies in the Washington DC area for 2016, an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, and a top company on Amazon Home Services.

As the owner of this company I assure you that i will continue to give stellar service to my customers for years to come. With my expertise, experience, and knowledge for residential & commercial properties in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland, there is no question that this company will be around for years to come. I enjoy working hard, making sure my customers are a 100% satisfied, and during my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife Denisse, and my kids Santi & Sofia.
